Peshawar SSC results, FG and army schools positions
APS leads SSC results
Peshawar, July 29, 2008: Army Public School and College (Girls), Peshawar Cantonment, has taken the lead among all the FG
and army schools in the Frontier province by showing excellent results and
clinching top positions in the 2008 secondary school certificate examination.
According to results, a total of 64 candidates appeared in the examination from
the school of whom 18 got A-1 grade, 34 A and 12 secured grade B. Mushgan
Hidayat remained on the top in the school by obtaining 88.23 per cent marks.
Maaiza Ahmad Sindhu followed her with 87 percent marks, while Umama Qasim
remained third with 86.94 marks. The News

PU announced LLB date sheet
Lahore: The Punjab University Examinations Department has issued the date
sheet of LLB Part-III Annual Examination, 2008. According to a press statement,
the exam will start from August 26 and conclude on September 20, 2008. Detailed
date sheet is available at the PU website www.pu.edu.pk
PU prof returns
from Japan: THE Punjab University Oriental College's Department of Urdu
Associate Professor Dr Muhammad Kamran visited Japan for a month on the
invitation of Daito Bunka University, Japan.
According to a press
statement, besides writing research theses on "Urdu teaching in Japan", Dr
Muhammad Kamran called on faculty members and students of Daito Bunka
University, Osaka University's Foreign Studies and Tokyo University's Foreign
Studies Departments. He also delivered lectures on Urdu language and literature
of Pakistan.
On his return, he briefed Punjab University Vice-Chancellor
Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran about his visit. The Vice-Chancellor hoped that the visit
would develop academic collaboration between Japanese Universities and the
Punjab University.
PU exams: THE Punjab University MS Part-I
Supplementary Examination 2005 and MD Part-I Supplementary Examination, 2005,
will start from August 19, 2008, said a press statement issued on Monday.
