Model college F-8/4 declared best institution
Islamabad, July 28, 2008: Students of Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB), F-8/4,
excelled in the centralised examinations of Class 5 and Class 8 of the 2007-08
session, conducted by the Federal Directorate of Education
(FDE).
According to the results announced on July 24, the college bagged
24 scholarships in Class 5 and three in Class 8, and had been declared the best
institution.
Danish Arshad, son of Arshad Mehmood, a student of Class 5,
got 575 marks out of 600 and secured an overall fifth position in the
centralised examination, first position in his college and won the
scholarship.
Other students of Class 5, who secured prominent positions
and won scholarships, included Osaid Ahmed (secured marks 569), Sohaib Zahid
(569), Muhammad Daniyal (565), Qasim Jilani Farooqi (563), Talha bin Awan (561),
Waheed ur Rehman (559), Hamza Pervez (557), Usama Khalil Qadri (554), Burhan
Khan (554), Saad bin Arif (553), Tamseel Ahmed (552), Usama bin Waqar (551),
Saif Ali Khalid (551), Faizan Akram Malik (549), Haris Nawaz Shahid (548), Malik
Arsal Riaz (546), Saad Tariq (541), Abdul Rafay Mobin (536), Muhammad Haris Amin
(533), Hammad Rashid (529), Muhammad Talha (519), Muhammad Zubair Mirza (518),
and Muhammad Faizan (517).
In Class 8, Abdullah Umer Khalid and Hassan
Irtiza stood first in the college by receiving 517 marks each, followed by
Mohammad Jazib (510). All the three also won scholarships.
Principal of
the college Dr Waheed-ud-Din, congratulating the successful students, said this
was the result of the joint efforts of dedicated teachers and parents of the
students.

CDA 1-9/4 school produces 100% result
Islamabad: The CDA Model School I-9/4 gave outstanding results in the
Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination 2008 held under Federal Board of
Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE).
The CDA Model School
produced 100% result, as all 46 students who appeared in SSC examination were
declared passed. As many as 28 students secured A-1 and A
Grades.
Farkhanda Zareen secured first position in the school with 752
out of 850 marks. Zarmeena Khan with 750 and Noorul Huda with 744 marks were
second and third respectively.
CDA Chairman Kamran Lashari has
appreciated the efforts and dedication of teaching staff and hard work of the
students.
It may be mentioned here that the CDA board had decided to
upgrade status of school to the intermediate level. The board had also approved
allotment of three acres of land in sector H-9 for construction of a new
building of the school.

CDA school to open on Aug 4
Islamabad: The management of CDA Model School I-9/4 has rescheduled re-opening of
the institution after summer vacations. According to an announcement, the school
will now re-open on August 4 instead of previous plan of August 18. The News
