Punjab University announced MBA, MPA, BSc results
Lahore, July 16, 2008: The Punjab University Examination Department on Tuesday declared
the results of MBA Executive, Master of Business and Information Technology,
MPA, BSc Chemical Engineering and Technology, first professional and BSc
Chemical Engineering and Technology, second professional.
According to a
press release, in MBA (Banking and Finance), semester system, session 2005-2007,
113 candidates appeared and 100 were declared successful while the result of
five candidates is late.
A total of 103 candidates appeared in Master of
Business and Information Technology, session 2004-2007, and 78 were declared
successful while the result of nine candidates is late.
In MPA, session
2003-2005, a total of 38 candidates appeared and 36 were declared successful
while result of two candidates is late.In BSc Chemical Engineering and
Technology, first professional, new course (session scheme), second annual 2005,
13 candidates appeared and 10 were declared successful.
In BSc Chemical
Engineering and Technology, second professional, new course (session scheme),
annual examination 2006, 57 candidates appeared and 44 were declared successful
while result of 3 candidates is late. The detailed results are available at

Papers lost: 17 CSS candidates to reappear in English
Lahore: Seventeen candidates from Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) will
have to reappear in the subject of English (Essay and Composition) of their
Central Superior Services (CSS) examination on July 19 in Islamabad because
their papers have been misplaced, a Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC)
official said on Tuesday.
The CSS Examination 2008 was held
in March, and the 17 candidates appeared from Muzaffarabad.
The official
said that the candidates had been informed through a letter about their
reappearance in the examination, saying that the postal department had misplaced
their English papers. The official said that the FPSC had approached the
Ministry of Communication to probe the matter, and had got a first information
report (FIR) registered against the postal department concerned.
FPSC
Secretary Bashir Ahmad Chohan said that all the rules and
regulations regarding the situation had been mentioned on the information letter

Punjab University awarded PhD degrees
Lahore: The Punjab University has awarded the PhD degrees to two students in different subjects.
Khalida Nasreen d/o Munshi Khan Bhatti has been awarded a PhD degree in the
subject of Arabic after the completion of her thesis entitled "Technical Arabic
Prose in the Subcontinent". She completed her thesis under the supervision of
Prof Dr Syed Muhammad Qamar Ali of Arabic Department, University of the Punjab.
Aleena Sumrin d/o Hameed Azhar Malik has been awarded a PhD degree in the
subject of Molecular Biology after the completion of her thesis entitled
"Genetic Improvement in a Local Bacillus Strain to Enhance Production of
Alpha-Amylase". She completed her thesis under the supervision of Punjab
University National Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology Director Prof Dr
Sheikh Riazuddin. The News

"assalamualikum ... thats a gr8 news to hear frm... i feel proud of those two brave intelligent ladies...but one thing that i realised ia that there is a very lill number of students doing Ph.d ...see as these two were girls ...where r the boys...wot r they doing...i wish that in our country too the no.oof students doing Ph.ds increase...i can only wish n pray for... i myself have plans to do pH.D in future inshaLLAH ....one should not get restricted to masters only....heartiest congratulations to both ladies... :) "
