DNA test of seminary students conducted for identification
ISLAMABAD, Jul 18 : The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Monday conducted DNA test of Lal Masjid
victims for identification, Assistant Commissioner Rana Akbar Hayat said.
He said the special information cell, set up by ICT at sports complex for queries about missing
people of Lal Masjid, till Monday received 45 applications from parents and
relatives of seminary students.
Akbar said the result of DNA
test has yet not received, but as soon as the identification is confirmed the
bodies would be handed over to the relatives.
He said the government is
accommodating the relatives of missing people at sports complex.
He said that so far 472 male
and 465 female seminary students have been handed over to their families while
over 160 male students were in judicial lock up on different
charges. App
