FBISE students protest against out of syllabus exams
RAWALPINDI, July 3(Daily Times): Thousands of students of the Federal Board of
Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad strongly protested
against the out of syllabus papers of physics, chemistry, biology and urdu in
the 2007 annual examinations, deciding to take the issue to the high court.
Parents of hundreds of students told journalists in the press club that the
board had changed the papers of physics, chemistry, biology and urdu papers in
the 2007 annual examinations, without informing the students.
They slammed the
Board's lethargic attitude, adding that the future of millions of students was
at stake and decided to report the matter to high court. They said they would
lodge a petition against the chairman, secretary and examinations controller in
the high court to press for their legitimate demands. They further appealed to
President Musharraf and Federal Education Minister Javed Ashraf Qazi to
immediately take note of the matter.
