Girls top Mirpurkhas SSC-II exams
MIRPURKHAS, July 17: Girls clinched top positions in the annual
examinations of the Secondary Stage Certificate Part-II in both the science and
general groups, according to results announced by the controller of examinations
of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) of Mirpurkhas on
Monday.
Prof Rahim Bux Shaikh who is also acting chairman said that the
first three positions in science group went to the students of St Michael
Convent High School with Rama Devi, daughter of Bhagwandas securing first by 830
marks, Amerdeep, son of Gul Nankani obtaining second position by 823 and Madiha
Khan, daughter of Ashfaque Khan, making it to the third by 822 marks.
In
general group, Rashida, daughter of Allahdad, of Government Girls High School
secured first position with 680 marks, Mohammad Ali, son of Mir Mohammad, of
Government High School
Loon Khan made it to the second position with 668
marks and Mohammad Ali, son of Akhtar Mehmood, of Government High School Naokot
obtained third position with 658 marks, he said.
The controller said that
a total of 19,343 girls and boys in science group appeared in the examinations
and out of them 17,339 passed making the passed percentage 89.64 per
cent.
In general group examinations, 672 girls and boys appeared and 481
succeeded making the overall passed percentage 71.57 per cent, he said. Dawn
