PU to 'modernise' transport
LAHORE, July 26: The Punjab University (PU) is modernising its Transport
Wing (TW) by providing it with the latest machinery to repair its old vehicles,
PU acting vice chancellor (VC) Dr Muhammad Arif Butt said on Wednesday.
Speaking
to faculty members, he said all types of necessary repair works were being done
at the PU workshop. He said the TW had saved Rs 5.5 million and was also raising
Rs 2 million by advertisements on its buses. The PU had purchased six new buses
and two coasters from these savings, the VC said. Daily times
