Karachi University announced BCom Part-I results
Karachi, June 14, 2008: The University of Karachi on Friday announced the
results of BCom Part- I (external) annual examination 2007.
According to
the statistics, a total of 7,013 candidates appeared in the examination and 602

"yar what the hell this is only 603 students are passed whats about the entire team, KU meant that they did not work hard fo rthier paper??? Student opens fire in KU during MA (Private) exams
Karachi: The Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) has alleged that an activist of the All Pakistan
Muttahida Students Organisation (APMSO) shot at a teacher, after the APMSO
activist was caught cheating in an MA private examination at the University of
Karachi (KU).
The IJT said in a press release on Friday that chaos
erupted in the examination hall of the Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre, during an
International Relations' paper, at around 4:45 pm, when a student, Azeem Ali,
bearing seat number 12079, and an activist of the APMSO, opened fire after he
was caught cheating red-handed.
The IJT alleged that when the student's
examination paper was confiscated by the invigilator, Abdul Qadeer Ghori, he
first threatened the professor, and then resorted to aerial firing, finally
escaping the scene.
Meanwhile, the media cell of the APMSO at Nine Zero
denied the allegation and the vigilante of the APMSO, Waheed Aftab, also a
member of the MQM Rabita Committee said that if such an incident had taken place
by any chance, there was no way in which the APMSO was involved in
it.
"In fact, it (Abdul Qadeer Ghori) was our activist and supporter, who
was the one under threat by that student. There is no saying that it was an
activist of the APMSO. We deny any such accusations," he said
The KU
security adviser, Khalid Iraqi, said that the Sheikh Zayed Islamic
Centre had sent him a report about the incident.
"The report showed that
the student had some materials, which were confiscated by the professor there,
and then the student first threatened him, and when the teacher refused to
return his paper, he fired a single shot in the air, and fled the scene," Iraqi
