Dow University MBBS exams schedule

Dow MBBS exams schedule notified
Karachi, June 09, 2008: The Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) on Saturday announced that the theory examinations of MBBS second year (third semester) would commence on June 9 and the exam of MBBS third year (fifth semester) would begin on 10th.

The schedule was said to be relevant only for the students of the Sindh and Dow medical colleges and not for any other teaching institute of the varsity.

Speed breakers outside DCET
Karachi: Jamshed Town Naib Nazim Ziauddin Jamal has said that construction of speed breakers outside Dawood Engineering College has started and they will help avoid road accidents. An overhead bridge will also be constructed within four months.

"The city government has taken notice of the issues highlighted by the students and all efforts will be made to resolve it immediately," he promised while talking to a delegation of Dawood College of Engineering (DCET) Students Action Committee who called on him at his office Saturday.

Four students were injured in road accidents outside the college last week after which DCET students with some teachers held a protest demonstration against the city government demanding an overhead bridge. app/ppi

Edu Mgmt program at IoBM
Karachi: The Institute of Business Management (IoBM) has started an Educational Management MBA program with a first batch of 22 professional, educational administrators and faculty, said a press release Sunday.

Dr Thomas Christee, chairman, Aga Khan University Education Board (AKUEB), was the chief guest at the program's formal launch at the IoBM. He stressed the need for the development of an efficient and effective educational management strategy to address the challenging needs of contemporary education in consonance with objective conditions of Pakistan. He congratulated CBM on taking this much-needed initiative and hoped that it would lead to significant enhancement of professional resources.

Muhammad Ashraf Janjua, Dean CBM, outlined the program and described its plans for an institute. Talib Karim, Executive Director, Academics, Corporate Affairs and Business Support Center (BSC), IoBM welcomed the guest and outlined the institute's progress since 1995. Daily Times
