Riphah announces Final MBBS exam result
Islamabad, June 03, 2008: Riphah International University here Monday announced the
result of Final Professional MBBS examination of Islamic International Medical
College held in April 2008, says a press release. Islamic International Medical
College is a constituent institute of Riphah International University, chartered
by the federal government and recognised by Pakistan Medical & Dental
Council (PM&DC). In total, 57 out of 103 candidates passed the examination.
Hina Batool Siddiqui (Roll No. 626/MF/08) stood first securing 1,619 marks out
of 2,200. Noshina Riaz (Roll No. 623/MF/08) got second position obtaining 1,617
marks while Qurat-ul-Ain Amjad (Roll No. 627/MF/08) stood third with 1,571
marks.

GCU, Glasgow college to enhance cooperation
Lahore: A two member delegation from Central College Glasgow visited the
Government College University (GCU) and called on its Vice Chancellor on Monday.
According to a press statement, the delegation comprised Paul GK Little,
the Principal of Central College, Glasgow, and Roy Gardner, the marketing
manager Central College of Commerce, Glasgow.
During the meeting, the
matters pertaining to mutual academic interest between the two institutions came
under discussion. GCU Vice Chancellor Dr Khalid Aftab informed the delegates
about the academic linkages which GCU Lahore had formed with the various
national and international universities.
Speaking on the occasion, Paul
Little proposed to have academic linkages of his institution with the GCU Lahore
in various disciplines. He also invited Dr Khalid Aftab to visit Central College
Glasgow so that further progress could be made for the better academic
understanding and mutual collaboration between the two institutions. The News
