Peshawar, June 20, 2008: The Controller of Examination, University of Peshawar, has constituted
six vigilance teams, in addition to the routine inspection teams, to check
unlawful practices during conduction of BA/BSc exams scheduled for June
25.
Controller Iftikhar Hussain said the examination
section had taken drastic steps to ensure smooth holding of the process. He said
each team consisting six persons would work in five districts of the province -
Sawabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera and Peshawar.
Hussain said he had
already issued a notification to all the authorities concerned to discourage
copying and other malpractices in the exams. "If any of the examination staff
was found involved, he will be banned for duty in future."
Hussain said
the police department had also been requested to deploy personnel outside the
examination centres to avert any untoward happening. He said examination section
has also focused on provision of proper facilities at the examination halls.
When noticed one of the examination halls at Shabqadar where furniture, fans and
other provisions were lacking, he ordered shifting of the centre from there.
Hussain maintained the roll number slips to the candidates had already
been issued at their home and institution addresses. However, if anybody failed
to receive may directly contact the examination section to get a duplicate copy,
