Punjab University date sheet
Lahore: The Punjab University has issued the date sheet of B Pharmacy, Final Professional, 2nd
Annual Examination, 2007 and 1st Annual Examination, 2008. According to a press
statement, the exam will commence from July 2 and conclude on July 17. Detailed
date sheet is available at the PU website www.pu.edu.pk.
525 PU employees regularised
Lahore: The Punjab University has regularized the services of 525
daily wages employees of BS-1 to BS-7. According to a press statement, a special
ceremony to distribute regularization certificates will be held at the Faisal
Auditorium at the New Campus on Thursday (today). Vice Chancellor Prof Dr
Mujahid Kamran will be the chief guest on the occasion while Registrar Prof Dr
Muhammad Naeem Khan, Additional Registrar Prof Dr Aurangzeb Alamgir and
employees will also speak on the occasion. In a message the Vice Chancellor
directed the employees to work hard and facilitate students, teachers and
general public while dealing with them to help PU earn good repute.

Exam centre staff suspended
Lahore: Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) Chairman Prof Muhammad
Tariq Malik has suspended a centre superintendent, a deputy superintendent and
invigilators for their alleged involvement in a cheating scam. According
to a press statement, this staff was appointed at Central Model High School,
Vehari, for the first annual examination 2009 of Diploma of Associate
Engineering (DAE). The statement said the PBTE chairman received
information from sources that some people with the cooperation of superintendent
were involved in cheating at an examination centre. He directed Prof Muhammad
Noshad, mobile inspector, Dr Prof Abdul Razzaq and Prof Abdul Qayyum to present
a report to him after investigation. The special squad raided the exam
centre on June 11 and found students busy in cheating. The suspended staffers
are: Centre Superintendent Muhammad Tanveer, instructor Govt Commerce College
Multan, Deputy Superintendent Muhammad Shakeel junior instructor, Government
College of Technology Sahiwal and other invigilators, the statement said. The News
