Newly-appointed KU official resigns
Karachi, June 8(The News): Abid Shaikh, the newly-appointed Director of Bureau of Composition, Compilation
and Translation (BCCT), University of Karachi, tendered his resignation on
Thursday.
His resignation comes in the wake of a delay in the printing of
documents for the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and the notice
taken by the KU Vice Chancellor about his absence from his duty on different
occasions.
Abid Shaikh was originally appointed by the Governor Sindh as
the Director, KU Administration.
However, the university administration
did not like the idea, as there was no such post at the varsity, while the
governor - as the chancellor of the university - has no right to make such an
appointment.
Abid Shaikh was eventually deputed as the Director BCCT to
adjust him in the university.
