Karachi University announcements
Karachi, June 29(The News): The University of Karachi has extended the submission date of registration forms
for M.A./Double M.A. and Improvement of division for External Examinations,
2006, till Friday with a late fee of Rs500. Semester Examinations section of the
university has revised the exam schedule for Medical Technology First Semester
students of Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation (SIUT) and Liaquat
National School of Diagnostic Laboratory Science. The exam will now be held from
July 2 to July 13. Dr Akhlaq Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor will look after the
routine affairs of the university from June 27 to July 10 in the absence of the
Vice Chancellor who is out of country. Mitsubishi Corporation official Ayaz
Ahmed distributed scholarship cheques to the students of the university in
presence of Prof. Pirzada Qasim who praised the corporation for its
philanthropic activities.
BEd, MEd admissions The University of Karachi on Thursday announced that
admissions to BEd and MEd classes for the session 2007-08 in all its affiliated
colleges would start from July 2.
Admission forms can be submitted from
July 5 to 20 and admission tests will be conducted on July 23 at 9am. The list
of successful candidates will be put on display on July 30 while classes will
commence from August 16.
BA Results The results of B.A. Part II and both (Regular)
annual examination 2006 has also been announced. Kiran Riaz Kandawala of D.H.A.
College for Women secured first-class first position; Tooba Gulfam of Govt. St.
Joseph College For Women received first class second position and Saadia Mahmood
of Mader-e-Millat College (Steel Town) stood first class third
position.
According to the statistics of the result, 8277 students
registered, 8039 appeared, 853 students were placed in first division, 3412
passed the examination in second division and 506 obtained third division. The
pass percentage was 59.35.
