Microsoft's Pakistan developer moot on 19th
ISLAMABAD, June 12(Daily Times): Microsoft Pakistan will organise a two-day 'Pakistan Developer
Conference 2007' in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore to project opportunities in
information technology in Pakistan.
Talking to reporters on Monday,
Microsoft Pakistan country manager Kamal Ahmed said that Federal Minister for
Information Technology and Telecom Awais Ahmed Khan Leghari would inaugurate the
conference in Islamabad on June 19. He said the concluding session of the
conference would be held in Karachi on June 20.
Ahmed said the
proceedings of the inaugural session would be relayed live via videoconferencing
for the participants in the other two cities.
He said the conference
would provide opportunities to the students and IT professionals to interact and
know about the latest technologies and ideas adopted by the developed countries.
Ahmed said that they had reached out across the USA, Canada, UK, France,
Middle East and Africa to attract the best experts to speak at this
conference.
He said over 7,000 participants had registered so far for
this year's conference. He said the registration would continue till June 14.
Ahmed said there was a lot of talent in the field of information technology in
Pakistan and the conference focusing on opportunities in the IT sector was an
efforts to attract foreign investment.
He said the conference would have
nine technical sessions to be addressed by internationally reputed IT experts.
