Private schools ignore govt's vacations notification
ISLAMABAD, June 15(Daily Times): Private schools in Rawalpindi have once again
challenged the Punjab government's writ, as many educational institutes are
still open in the city, despite the announcement of summer vacation by the
Punjab education department. Private schools situated in posh areas including
Satellite Town Block A and B, Bagh Saradar, Ghazni Road, Glass Factory, Factory
Road, Mohallah Hukam Dad, Dhok Khabbah, Dhok Farman Ali, Muree Road, Liaquat
Bagh, Dhok Chiragh Din, The Holy Family Hospital Road, New Katrina F- Block, Lal
Kurti, Peoples Colony and Lala Zar are violating the directives of the Punjab
government amid the sizzling heat that continues to kill people.
The Punjab
government announced summer vacation in all educational institutions across the
province from June 9, but the students of private schools were still attending
their classes Parents said education department officials had failed to
implement the Punjab government's orders.
