Schools to face action over advance fees
LAHORE, June 22(Daily Times): The Education Department on Thursday directed all
executive district officers (Education), directors of public instruction
(Elementary Education) and directors of public instruction (Secondary
Education), to initiate action against private educational institutions charging
three months fees in advance for the summer vacations and cancel their
registrations under the Private Institutions Promotion Regulations Rules
Ordinance of 1984.
According to an official handout issued on Thursday, officers
of the department have been asked to bound the managements of private schools to
receive only a month's fee on fixed dates every month, instead of receiving
three months fees in advance.
