Beaconite excels in Maths contest
Islamabad, March 31, 2008: Master Wasiq Ahmed Tarar, a
brilliant cadet (class 7-8) of the Beaconhouse School System Islamabad Campus,
has excelled by securing top position in the Third International Kangaroo
Mathematics Contest Pakistan 2007 (17th International Kangaroo Olympiad). The
contest was held under the auspices of the School of Mathematical Sciences, GC
University, Lahore. The 13-year-old genius, son of renowned engineer Nasrullah
Khan Tarar not only secured the top slot while competing 7,387 contestants from
all over the country, but also stood first in the capital as well as in his own
school. He bagged all the three medals of Gold, Silver and Bronze.

RMC students pass professional exam with flying colours
Rawalpindi: Pakistan Green Tasks Force President Dr Jamal Nasir and PGTF General
Secretary Dr Jahangir Sarwar haved facilitated the Rawalpindi Medical College
students for securing outstanding positions in all professional examination of
2007-08, held under the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, says a press
release issued here Sunday.
RMC's Umair Saeed got first position and
Miss Uzma Gul got 3rd position in 3rd professional examination. Where as Miss
Hina Hafeez ur Rehman Abbassi stood 2nd and Sara Ejaz Gilani 3rd position in
final professional examinations.
