PU MA Urdu exam again: PU Housing Society
PU to hold MA Urdu exam again
Lahore, March 24, 2008: The Punjab University has decided to take the exam of MA Urdu, Part-II,
Annual Examination 2007, Paper-III (Iqbal Ka Khususi Mutalaa) again on April 5.
According to a press statement, the university had given the option to all
candidates to reappear in the paper with an offer to replace earlier result of
the paper conducted on 27-07-2007. The decision was taken after a strong protest
by students against the out-of-syllabus questions in the said paper. The News
PU VC launches development work at PUEHS
Lahore: Punjab University (PU) Vice
Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran on Sunday inaugurated development work at
Town-I and Town-II of the Punjab University Employees Housing Society (PUEHS).
According to a press release, Housing Society Management Committee
President Prof Dr Muhammad Arif Butt, Chairman Prof Sajid, Director Col (r)
Sarfraz-ul-Haq, Prof Dr Najma Najam, Prof Dr Shaukat Ali, Prof Zahid Karim Khan,
Resident Officer-I Prof Bashir Ahmad and UC-120 Naib Nazim Haji Mian Amjad Ali
were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Mujahid
Kamran said that he was pleased to inaugurate the development work on March 23,
which is a day of great importance for all Pakistanis.
He said that the
housing society was a long-standing demand of the university employees and
efforts had begun in 1973 in this regard.
He said, however, that credit
went to former vice chancellor Lt-Gen (r) Arshad Mahmood as the land was
purchased during his tenure. He said that the day would soon arrive when the
houses of all the employees would be constructed. Dr Muhammad Arif Butt, Prof
Sajid and Col (r) Sarfraz-ul-Haq also spoke on the occasion. Daily Times
