Follow the rules to enter UK
MIRPUR, March 20(APP): Proper documentation is necessary for people seeking
entrance to the United Kingdom as permanent settlers or students, said United
Kingdom's Immigration Advisory Service Chief Executive Keith Best. Speaking at a
seminar at Mirpur on late Sunday, he said that the British government would
introduce a new points system to simplify the process of applying for a visa to
the UK over the next two years. He said, however, the new system would make it
more difficult for low-skilled people to get visas, adding that there would not
be any right to appeal after their application was rejected once. He said that
the British government was coming under increased criticism for the proposed
system, as it could harm its relations with Commonwealth countries, especially
Pakistan and Bangladesh.
