Controller of exams sacked
Karachi, May 4(The News): The Controller of Exam, Board of Secondary Education Karachi Salim Khan was
sacked on alleged charges of misappropriation, irregularities and establishing
exam centres at the schools, which were already blacklisted the previous year,
sources confided.
Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad on
receiving complaints immediately fired the controller of examination and gave
charge to the Deputy Cotroller of Exams, Bizatullah Khan with immediate
effect.
It is worth mentioning here that Salim Khan had instructed the
Special Vigilance Team (SVT) to raid those schools, which were suspected of
using any such illegal means.
On the instructions, the SVT team raided
the schools and nabbed candidates involved in using unfair means
and also debarred more than 300 students for cheating during the SSC Part II
exams, which ended on Wednesday.
However, the sources viewed that the
termination of the controller of exams at a time when the SSC Part I exams are
scheduled to start on May 17, would create problems with particular reference of
setting up of exam papers, which Salim Khan was personally monitoring at night
during its publication at the board's press.
