Jamia Binoria foreign student drowns
KARACHI, May 28(Daily Times): An international student at Binoria University
International (BUI) drowned at Sonahra Beach Hawkes Bay Saturday morning. His
body was fished out by Pak Navy divers near an island in the evening after a
seven-and-a-half hour rescue mission.
According to a BUI press release, 25-year
Leon Winsiton Renge, alias Nasir, son of Manzoor Ellahi, hailing from Guyana,
had gone for a picnic with other international students. At about 10:00 a.m. the
waves swept him away. BUI was closed for three days after the quarterly
examinations. His parents have been informed.
