King Edward Medical University approves budget
LAHORE, May 28(Daily Times): The syndicate committee of King Edward Medical University
on Saturday approved a pending budget of Rs 327.45 million for upgrades and
developments in the university for the fiscal year 2006-2007. The decision was
made in a meeting of the syndicate committee. Prof Mumtaz Hassan said that the budget was overdue because the King Edward attained its
university title last year.
The syndicate meeting also approved the
establishment of University Service Cadre to enhance the development process.
Similarly, Dean of Medicine Prof Muhammad Zafarullah Khan and Dean of Basic
Sciences Prof Muhammad Akram were nominated as the members of the syndicate. The
university also approved the meeting minutes of the previous session, which was
its first. The 2007-08 budget will be approved in a meeting likely next month.
