SM Law College to take legal action against students
KARACHI, May 7(Daily Times): The board of governors of the
SM Law College, in a meeting on Saturday, decided to support the current
administration's policies. The board warned all protesting students that legal
actions would be taken if the law and order situation worsens.
According
to a press release issued by the SM Law College, the board was briefed by the
principal of the college. On the basis of the principal's account, the board has
unanimously decided to take serious action against protesting students who have
apparently 'opted for vandalism'. The board decided that any person found
disturbing the law and order situation, would be dealt with according to the
law.
Four students were arrested Thursday for protesting outside the
college and creating a 'law and order' situation. They were, however, released
with the help of the Karachi Bar Association.
