University student at Peshawar shot at
PESHAWAR, May 15(Dawn): A female student of a private university was seriously
injured when her cousin allegedly opened fire on her on Monday. According to
police, Ms Palwasha, daughter of Zafar Ali Khan, a resident of Dar Mangi
village, arrived at the university in the morning along with her father. As soon
as she entered the varsity premises, her cousin Jawad Ali, son of Yousaf, a
resident of Prang village Charsadda district, attacked her.
She received
six bullets and was being treated at a local hospital.
The cause of the
incident was said to be a family matter. Police have yet to arrest the
culprit.
