SSUET, DUHS, SU & QUEST entry tests
KARACHI, Nov 05, 2007: Some 3,000 candidates appeared in the entry test for
admission to the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) in
its degree courses on Sunday.
Interviews of the candidates would begin on
Nov 5 and continue up to Nov 8.
Meanwhile, the Dow University of Health
Sciences (DUHS) also held an entry test for its four-year BS nursing degree
programme and two-year diploma course on Sunday.
A spokesperson for the
DUHS said that the provisional list of the successful candidates would be issued
by Nov 11 and interviews would be held on Nov 19.
The final merit list
would be issued on Nov 26.-APP
Admission test held at University of Sindh
HYDERABAD: The University of Sindh, here on Sunday, conducted an
admission test for Master's programme for the academic session 2008.
The
test was conducted at the Arts Faculty building under administrative
arrangements of university's Centre for Testing and Employment.
Strict
security measures were adopted at the campus.
A total number of 2,628
male and female candidates had submitted admission forms. Twenty-six admission
forms were rejected on technical grounds while 2,602 candidates appeared in the
test.
Before starting the test vice-chancellor Sindh university Mazharul
Haq Siddiqui welcomed the candidates from control room. He said that Sindh
university has been providing all modern facilities for education and

Over 2,000 take test for admission at Quaid-i-Awam University
NAWABSHAH: More than 2,000 candidates appeared in the test for
admission to different disciplines of the Quaid-i-Awam University of
Engineering, Science and Technology here on Sunday.
The dean of the
Faculty of QUEST, Prof A.B. Soomro told journalists that 3,011 candidates had
submitted their forms for 637 seats -- 455 for pre engineering, 62 for IT, 70
for BCS and 50 for mathematics.
He said that the Mohammed Ali Jinnah
University, which conducted the test, cleared 2,947 forms. A total of 2,837
candidates appeared in the test while 110 were absent, he said. Jinnah
University's Prof Abdul Wahab said that result would be announced in four
