Islamic Quiz Competition held at GCU
Lahore, Nov 06, 2007: The
Ravians Quiz Society of the Government College University held its Annual
Inter-Departmental Islamic Quiz Competition at the Fazal-i-Hussain Hall of the
varsity. According to a press statement Monday, ten teams participated in the
competition including teams from Statistics, Economics, Political Science,
Botany, Mathematics and Computer Science Departments and two teams from
Intermediate and Graduation level. The Intermediate (B) team won the quiz while
Graduation (B) and Graduation (A) teams got second and third positions
respectively.
President of the Society Hira Naeem presided over the function,
which was hosted by former president of the Society Rafaqat Ali. After the final
round, Chairperson Arabic and Islamic Studies Department, GCU, Dr Sultan Shah
distributed shields and certificates to the winners and praised the efforts of
the society for organising such an informative competition. The News
