Three-day APEEC concludes at GIKI
SWABI, Nov 13, 2007: Three-day All Pakistan Electrical Engineering Conference (APEEC)
concluded at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology
here on Monday.
The conference was organised by the Institute of
Engineering and Technology (IET), GIK Institute chapter and the
students/researchers from all leading universities participated in it. The
organisers said that the conference was arranged to provide an opportunity to
students/ researchers to present their projects and research works and to help
boost their interaction with the industry to know each other
requirements.
Business Development Manager Intel Education Kamran S Naqvi
acted as the chief guest and IET representative Dr Shahid Masood was guest of
honour on the occasion. Dr M Junaid Mughal said the government had already taken
numerous steps to revolutionise engineering education in the country to reduce
our reliance on the foreign universities in the engineering domain. "The
students should avail these opportunities," he added. IET President Adeel Hassan
said that despite the prevailing crises situation in the country the conference
attracted a large number of students/researchers from the all over the
