Admissions to BS programmes
Karachi, Nov 26, 2007: Candidates for admissions to BS programmes
where test is not mandatory can now obtain admission forms during November
26ó27, 2007 from the UBL Silver Jubilee Gate Branch, University of Karachi,
during the bank timings against the payment of Rs300. Duly filled in forms can
be submitted to the same branch on the same dates. Candidates, who want to apply
for admission to test-based programmes viz BS and MS in Biotechnology, B.E
Chemical Engineering, M.Sc Applied Physics and BCS, MCS and PGD in Computer
Science can also obtain form on the payment of Rs700 from the same branch during
Nov 26-27 and submit it on the same dates. Test for Biotechnology Department
will be held on December 9, 2007 instead of Nov 28, 2007 at 11am.
KU workshop:
A two-day international workshop on 'conflict management mechanisms
and the challenge of peace' is being held under the programme on Peace Studies
and Conflict Resolution, Department of International Relations, University of
Karachi, and the Hanns Seidel Foundation, Islamabad, at the Arts Auditorium from
Nov 26 to 27. Scholars from Pakistan and other countries will participate in the
