LUMS Model UN concludes
LAHORE, Nov 27, 2007: Problems and solutions discussed at the LUMS Model United Nations
(LUMUN) conference will be implemented in the real world and prove beneficial
for everyone, said LUMUN president Hashim Zaidi at the closing ceremony of the
conference on Monday.
After five days of committee sessions and
entertaining social events, the conference ended at the Sports Complex of the
Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
A LUMUN press statement
said DESCON Engineering Limited chairman Razzaq Daud, his co-patrons Zaeem Jafri
and Mubashira Bano were chief guests on the occasion. The highlight of the
ceremony was the best delegation award that was won by the Karachi Lyceum. The
award was decided after assessing each committee's display of diplomacy. The
chief guest stressed the students that they should play their role in bringing a
positive change in Pakistan.
LUMUN president gave his best wishes to the
participants since it would be his last year at LUMS. Daily Times
