HEC approves Mehran University workshop project
ISLAMABAD, Nov 08, 2007: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has approved a
project to strengthen mechanical engineering workshop at the Mehran University
of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro. This will enable the university to
establish an industry-oriented advanced mechanical engineering
workshop.
The strengthening of the workshop occupies pivotal position in
the curriculum for students and professionals to serve in industries and apply
advanced manufacturing techniques and enhance export opportunities for
mechanical products.
The HEC will provide Rs 28.031 million to develop
infrastructure and structure of the workshop. After completion of the project,
the University will be able to establish an industry-oriented advanced workshop,
which will train engineering students to use CNG plus advanced workshop
equipments. nni
