Private schools want academic year from April
Nov 22, 2007: A delegation of the All
Private Schools Management Association (APSMA) Sindh Chapter, on Wednesday
called on the Sindh caretaker education minister, Shujat Ali Baig, and Secretary
Education, Chaudhry Muhammad Ali, and demanded the revival of the old schedule
regarding the academic year. Headed by the APSMA Sindh Chairman, Syed Khalid
Shah, the delegation comprised Shaheen Qeemuddin, Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Hassan
Qutub, Arsahd Ali Khan and Faisal Majeed Khan.
They appealed that like the
previous years, the new academic year should also be started from April instead
of August. Chaudhry Khalid underscored the need to boost coordination between
the association and education department, so as to resolve the issues amicably
and improve the standard of education.
