Educational institutions remained closed account of Benazir Bhutto's arrival
KARACHI, Oct 18: After one day of school following four days of Eid
holidays, students are going to get another holiday today (October 18) on
account of Benazir Bhutto's arrival in the city. The announcement was made by
the provincial and city governments on Wednesday to save hundreds of students
from getting trapped in the rally and facing transport problems. It is expected
that public transport will avoid the roads.
All city government schools, private
schools, colleges, universities and other academic institutes will remain
closed, the statement said. EDO Education Fakhar Karim Siddiqi said that all city government schools will remain closed as directed by City Nazim
