Students hold exhibition of digital prints
HYDERABAD, Oct 10: The students of the Centre of Excellence in Arts and
Designs affiliated with the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology
(MUET) put on display their pieces of art made in the latest screen printing and
digital printing in an exhibition on Tuesday.
Prof Aijaz Hussain of the
National College of Arts Lahore said that the digital printing was the latest
technology which had been introduced by the students of the centre.
He
said that the technology would bring about a revolution in textile designing
because it would enable the customers to select a design of their choice from
among thousands of designs through computer just within an hour.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. A.Q.K. Rajput who was chief guest on the occasion praised
Prof Hussain for his contribution to this new technology, which had been
introduced just within two weeks and spoke volumes about the talent of the
students.
DATE EXTENDED: The registrar of the University of Sindh,
Mohammad Saleh Rajar, announced on Tuesday that the date for submission of forms
for admission to all the disciplines of bachelors and masters degree programme
offered by the university had been extended to Oct 12.
He said in a
notification that taking into consideration the requests of the students and
their parents the university had extended the last date and announced that the
candidates could obtain admission forms from the branches of Habib Bank Limited
in all the district headquarters of the province.
He said that the
candidates could also download the forms from the university's website of
www.usindh.edu.pk. Besides, the university had also set up four additional
counters to collect forms from candidates from 7:30 am to 4 pm. Dawn
