New auditorium at Government College of Commerce and Economics
KARACHI, Oct 9: Sindh Minister for Planning and Development Syed Shoaib
Ahmed Bukhari inaugurated on Monday the Auditorium Hall and other uplift
projects of Government College of Commerce and Economics near PIDC House,
Karachi.
The project was suggested by Member Sindh Assembly Syed Shakir
Ali and the foundation stone was laid by Syed Shoaib Bukhari in
2005.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that effective steps
were being taken to promote literacy and raise the standard of education and
enrolment in schools of the province, so that students could play their due role
for the progress of the nation and country.
He said that to promote
literacy, the government would have to upgrade educational institutions and
establish new ones. ppi
