Jobs of 30 teachers regularised in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, Oct 14: District Government Hyderabad has accepted a longstanding demand of the teachers' community for regularising jobs of more than 30 female secondary and higher secondary teachers of the district.

The district nazim Hyderabad on Friday distributed the regularisation letters among these teachers, who were working on temporary basis in different educational institutions of the district.

According to the decision, their regularisation has been deemed effective from Jan 1, 2004.

Speaking on the occasion, district nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil said that the present district government was fully committed to improve the educational standard by providing quality education in government schools so that the children could also acquire the same level of knowledge, which is being imparted in private educational institutions.

He said providing education in English by converting schools of the district into English medium and arranging teachers training programme are part of the programme of district government to ensure quality education in every nook and corner of the city.

The present government, he said, was also utilising all its resources for the improvement of educational infrastructures including repair and renovation of schools and provision of required furniture, electric appliances and other facilities so that the students could acquire knowledge in a cordial atmosphere.

He said regularisation of these female teachers is also another milestone of the district government as it has resolved the financial constraints of more than 30 families, dependent upon these teachers.

The nazim asked the executive district officer education Hyderabad Prof Anwar Siddiqui to ensure their seniority period within limitations of the rules and regulations.-APP
