Seven Islamia University Bahawalpur students injured in clash
BAHAWALPUR, Oct 31: Seven students were injured in a clash between two
groups at Islamia University Bahawalpur's Department of Engineering at Baghdadul
Jadid Campus here on Tuesday.
Wajahat, Hasnain, Malik Abid, Azeem and
three others were taken to Bahawal Victoria Hospital. However, they were
discharged after first-aid.
The police rushed to the scene and controlled
the situation.
Both the groups have given applications for registration
of a case against each other, and the IUB acting vice-chancellor has forwarded
the applications to the district police officer for necessary
action.
However, no case had been registered till the filing of this
report. The incident triggered panic on the campus. Dawn
