Preparation of teachers' seniority list starts
ISLAMABAD, Oct 1: The preparation of seniority list for promotions of
teachers in the province under the 3rd-4th Grade Formula from the incentive
package of the Punjab chief minister has started.
Under the incentive
package, nearly 6,000 teachers of all cadres will get promotion in the next
grade. Sources said that the seniority list of primary, middle, high and higher
secondary teachers of all the cadres was being prepared under the supervision of
the education executive district officer. The Punjab CM had issued directives to
complete the list as soon as possible. For the preparation of list, Education
Department officials have sought details about the teachers, who will be
promoted, from the headmasters concerned. Sources said that the lists would be
completed before Eid and after that the teachers would be promoted.

clerics released in Rawalpindi: On the directives of District Nazim Raja Javed
Ikhlas, police have released 11 clerics detained recently from different areas
of Rawalpindi. He issued these directives after a meeting with delegation of
