University of Wales team visits GCU
LAHORE, Oct 27: A delegation of the University of Wales, New Port United
Kingdom visited Government College University (GCU) on Friday to exchange
students in various disciplines. According to a press release, head of the
Centre for Advanced Studies in Physics (CASP) Prof Dr Ijaz Mujtaba Ghauri
briefed the Associate Dean of the University of Wales Claire Birney and her team
on various GCU disciplines. During the meeting, Dr Ijaz suggested a long-term
academic cooperation between the two the universities. Ms Claire said that the
University of Wales was offering MSc in telecommunication with management to
enhance academic and management skills in students.
The visit of the UK
delegation was collaborated by the GCU Students Counseling and Career Guidance
Centre in coordination with the CASP. Later, question answer session was held in
which students asked various questions regarding their future study prospects at
