Speaking on the occasion, the governor said bold decisions were needed for better and secure future of the youth. He said a few extremists could not terrify the nation.

He said closure of universities was not a solution as it would demoralise students. He said the war on terrorism was a long war but the problem would be dealt with the support of the nation.

Taseer said that teachers should create awareness among students about the evil designs of terrorists who were trying to destabilize the country. He said motivation would boost confidence of students.
