British Council invites applications for IYFE Award-2008
LAHORE, Sept 22: British Council has invited applications from Pakistan and other countries for
International Young Fashion Entrepreneur Award 2008 (IYEFY) to identify and
acknowledge the individual who created a profitable business in fashion.
According to a statement issued by
British Council, this award has been established to champion and celebrate the
importance of creative entrepreneurs working in emerging markets.
The
last date for the applications is October 11.
This is a two-stage competition.
In the first stage, one person from Pakistan will be selected to compete against others from Afghanistan, Nepal,
Iran, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The
winner from this round will then go to the UK for a 12-day fashion tour in
February 2008, joining other fashion entrepreneurs from all over the world,
meeting leaders and innovators in British fashion.
In the second stage, for the
international competition to find the Young Fashion Entrepreneur of the year,
the regional winners will be interviewed in the UK by a panel of fashion experts
in the UK and will make presentations about their work as a fashion
entrepreneur. App
