IJT pays homage to bus attack victims
Karachi, Sept 23: Islami Jamiat Talaba held Shahadat Conference here on Saturday to pay homage to
its workers killed in a bus attack on September 13 in Karachi.
The conference
was organized at Silver Jubilee Gate of Karachi University, which was attended
by a large number of party activists from different colleges and universities of
the city.
The party activists, holding placards and banners, chanted slogans
against the university administration and law enforcement agencies for not
providing security to the students.
Addressing the conference, Secretary
General Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hassan said that four of the bus attack
victims were the students of Karachi University, therefore, the university
administration should have also held a ceremony to pay rich tributes to
them.
He alleged that the university administration was under the grip
terrorists. He accused the MQM and APMSO of involvement in the killings.
MPA
Nasurullah Shajee said that Sindh had become a safe place for terrorists where
people were being killed ruthlessly in a broad-day light while the authorities
seemed to be negligence to take steps against this crime. Acting Nazim IJT
Karachi Hasan Hamaad said that the government would be responsible for all the
consequences if the culprits were not arrested with immediate effect. The IJT
announced to hold a protest demonstration outside the Supreme Court Building on
October 3 for the arrest of killers. The Nation
