PSA activist sent to jail
Karachi, Sep 5: Judicial Magistrate (South) Aurangzeb Alamgeer Qazi on Tuesday sent a Punjabi
Students Association (PSA) activist to jail on judicial remand till September
10, in Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT) activist murder case.
Malik Saqib along
with absconding co-accused Kamran alias Kami and Tazeen Ahmed are charged with
killing IJT member Farhan Ahmed Butt, Ist-year student of JPMC School of
Physiotherapy and injuring four other students on August 25 at JPMC.
An
FIR of murder and attempt to murder under sections 302, 324/34 CrPC was lodged
against them at PS Saddar on the complaint of Amjad Ali. Later, the police
arrested Malik Saqib late Sunday night while the two other accused were still at
large.
On Tuesday, Sadar police produced him in the court and sought time
to arrest other accused nominated in the said case. The magistrate, allowing
police request, granted time and directed them to submit charge sheet against
Malik Saqib on the next date of hearing. The news
