'Students should focus on research to achieve success'
LAHORE, Sep 8: "From Government College to Government College University
(GCU), the historic perspective of the institution spans over three centuries
and the varsity expects from the students to focus on research-based studies in
order to be at the top of the academic level," GCU acting vice chancellor Dr
Sohail Ahmad Khan told class 11 students at the Bokhari Auditorium. According to
a press release issued by the GCU on Friday, he welcomed the new class 11
students to the varsity and said that the GCU's faculty was making efforts to
improve the varsity's status and make it the best in South Asia, but this could
not be achieved without the joint efforts of the teachers and students of the
university. He said the GCU was a seat of knowledge. He said that in this age of
fast-tracked development, success could only be achieved by effectively changing
information into wisdom. Daily times
