IJT blames UET VC for creating problems
PESHAWAR, Sep 11: Scores of problems and troubles has been witnessed
at NWFP University of Engineering and Technology (UET). The vice chancellor does
not take any serious notice of them. These views were expressed by Islami Jamiat
Tulba (IJT) UET nazim Syed Sadiq Hussain Qureshi while addressing a Tanzimee
Committee meeting here on Monday. The session was also presided by the IJT
nazim. The meeting reviewed and discussed the long standing problems which are
being faced by the students but no one has yet expressed sympathy with the
students.
On the occasion, IJT nazim Syed Sadiq Hussain Qureshi said that the
main route of the problems had been created was the vice chancellor of the
university. He said that the vice chancellor had appointed unable and
disqualified people on the key posts of the university which violated the rules
and regulations of the merit. Sadiq Hussain went on to say that the varsity
administration had increased the fee which reveals that it wanted to close the
educational doors for the poor. He said that HEC had granted millions of fund
for the libraries but no relevant books found in them and the funds were being
wasted on the baseless visits and hosting lavish dinners daily.
The IJT nazim
said that the vice chancellor and his team in the university were instead of
solving problems creating problems for the students. Syed Sadiq Hussain Qureshi
further said that if the situation remain unchanged as usual the university
would definitely lose its reputation and popularity. He said that dismissal of
the vice chancellor and administration staff would be in the benefit of the
university. He warned the authorities concerned to resolve and dismiss the
present vice chancellor otherwise the IJT would start protest demonstration
campaign against the university administration. The IJT UET nazim Syed Sadiq
Hussain Qureshi also demanded of the NWFP governor to take serious action
against the vice chancellor and remove him from his post. Frontier Post
