BIEK HSC-Part II (Pre-Engineering) examination results
Pre-Engineering group results today
Karachi, Sep 02, 2008: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) will announce
the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC)-Part II Annual
Examination 2008 of Science (Pre-Engineering) Group on Tuesday (today), a press
release stated on Monday.
It further said that the registration of the
private candidates of Humanities and Commerce groups including improvement of
division, additional subjects as well as the regular students of Science,
Commerce and Humanities who have exhausted all the examination chances for
appearing at the HSC Annual Examination 2009 will start from September 5 till
November 10 with a fee of Rs780. Submissions after the deadline will be accepted
with a late fee of Rs100 till December 12.
It was also stated that the
registration forms should be attested by an officer of grade-17 or above of the
education department. Candidates who have passed their Secondary School
Certificate (SSC) from any board other than Sindh are eligible to apply.

FUUAST announces BA, BSc results
Karachi: Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology
(FUUAST) has announced the results of BA (Private) and B.Sc. (Honours)
examinations -2007. The university has announced that the examination forms for
BA (Hons), first year, second year, third year and MA (prev.) classes canbe
submitted from Sept 2 to Sept 15. The university requires 75 per cent attendance
for the exams.

Eight MUET departments selected for self-assessment programmes
Hyderabad: Eight more departments of the Mehran University of Engineering and
Technology (MEUT), Jamshoro have been selected to implement the model of
self-assessment of academic programmes, said a press release issued here on
Monday.
In this connection, an orientation seminar was organised by the
Quality Enhancement Cell, MUET for members of the programme teams of the
departments, the press release said. Quality Enhancement Cell Director Prof Dr
Abdul Sami Qureshi delivered a lecture during the seminar, it said.
The
selection is a step taken for the assurance of quality education in order to
improve the academic standard under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Agency
of the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad, it added.
All members of
the programme teams were given orientation about the self-assessment manual, it
added. Tasks were given to the programme teams for the preparation of a
