CAP Pre-Engineering results announced
Karachi, Sep 10: As many as 15,062 admissions to intermediate first year have
been granted to 55 public colleges in the Pre-Engineering faculty on
Thursday. It was announced by Director General Colleges Sindh, Dr Nasir
Ansar. All admissions are made under the Centralised Admission Policy
(CAP), Ansar, who is also the CAP Committee Chairman, said. The maximum
cut-ratio for the Adamjee Government Science College was 790 while
minimum cut-off ratio was 725. Meanwhile, the cut-off ratio of other
colleges stands as Islamia Government Science College (736,584),
Government PECHS Education Foundation College (737, 633), Government
Degree Boys College, Gulzar-e-Hijri (757,520), Govt Degree College,
Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Block 7 (749,653), Government National College
(Morning) (695,605), Government Degree College Stadium Road (740,675),
Government Degree Boys College Gulistan-e-Johar (699,597), Govt Jamia
Millia Degree College (Morning) (706,383), Government Superior Science
College (Morning) (723,557), Govt Degree Science and Commerce College
Landhi/Korangi (735,435), he added. Furthermore, Government Boys
College Landhi-4 (722,383), Allama Iqbal Govt Boys Science College
(Male) (787,500), Government Degree Science College Malir, (721,383),

KU students to celebrate Eid with flood victims
Karachi: The students and staff of the Department of Visual Studies,
University of Karachi (KU), will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with the flood
victims. This was announced by the Chairperson of the Department, Durriya Kazi, on Thursday. She
said that the students and staff of her Department would spend Saturday
afternoon with the inmates of the flood Relief Camp on the Northern
Bypass to celebrate Eid. The programme includes games like football,
kite flying, races, play music, and other activities like applying
henna (Mehndi) to lift the spirits of the traumatized families who have
come from Jacobabad, Shadadkot, Shikarpur, and Khairpur, she added. The news
