Central School of Speech and Drama
Founded in 1906, the Central School of Speech and Drama is a highly regarded drama and theatre school, near Swiss Cottage in north London.
Undergraduate courses range from acting to costume, design, lighting, sound, propmaking, puppetry and stage management - plus a course in drama, applied theatre and education. Facilities include the £5m, 224-seat Embassy Theatre, reopened in 2002, plus the Embassy Studio and New Studio, each of which can accommodate 100 people. With the opening in 2005 of a new four-storey studio and rehearsal space, the school is now based on a single campus. |
