It offers a range of honours degree courses in theatre and performance, validated by the University of Manchester - including acting, directing, musicianship (for actors), lighting, stage management, costume production and theatre design.

Facilities include two theatres - the 330-seat Rose, a theatre in the round, and the end-stage Barn Theatre - plus studios for rehearsal, design, lecture, teaching and recording, plus lighting design labs and a workshop complex.
