Southampton Solent University

Southampton Solent is one of the UK's newest universities, based in a lively city on the south coast. It is a modern campus university, with over 17,000 students on work-related courses. It's close to the city centre and the waterfront. (Though it's not really a beachy resort, more of a industrial port.) Unsurprisingly, maritime studies is a particular strength here, including courses in the design of yachts and small craft. Southampton Solent's student yachting team competes at an international level. |
Fees
£3,070 for full-time undergraduate courses.
Bursaries
£1,024 for students in receipt of a full maintenance grant, then on a descending sliding scale depending on amount of grant.
Accommodation
Southampton Solent expects to be able to provide accommodation for all first years who request it. Prices range from approximately £70 to £91 a week (the more expensive rooms are ensuite).
